The Hoppers Crossing Football Club was established over 40 years ago and is now one

of the most established clubs in the fast growing Wyndham area. We are affiliated with

the Western Region Football League and the total membership of our club is now in

excess of 450 members and families. In 2016 we will field up to 15 teams from U9

through to Seniors. We are also affiliated with the Hoppers Crossing Sports Club which includes 10 sporting clubs totalling over 3500 members and families.

During the eighteen-week Football season, three games are played on Saturday (Seniors) plus our Auskick program and up to eight on Sunday (Juniors). The Cricket club’s season runs for a similar length of time. Throughout the year many thousands of local Western Suburbs people visit our ground. As such they will see your business signs on a regular basis, thus building brand awareness for you.

 

We are also are the residential host of the WRFL junior finals series at our home ground. Over the course of 4 weeks 30 games of finals football including 8 grand finals are played, represented by 35 different clubs, culminating in over 3000 people visiting our football club each day from across the Western suburbs. The exposure this event provides is unsurpassed in local sport.

 

Our club works closely with the youth of the community and our junior programme is arguably one of the best in the region.  Our mission is to deliver excellence in sporting & social activities to our members and their families by providing the very best facilities and sporting program within a quality and caring environment.

 

In previous years we have run a successful Drug and Alcohol Awareness program for our U14, U16, U18 and Senior age groups. This involves us inviting a member of the local Police specializing in this area to come to the club and educate our players and their parents on this topic. We are also currently providing an awareness program around Depression and Mental Health.

 

Over the past 10 years we have hosted an annual “Ladies Day”. Last year we held a luncheon that attracted over 100 women, with the main aim to raise awareness in Breast Cancer prevention.  All proceeds from the day were donated to the Ride to Conquer Cancer Foundation,  another community awareness program that we are proud to be associated with.

 

Three seasons ago the club introduced an annual match against one of our long time arch rivals St. Albans FC on Good Friday. This event has gained huge coverage in both the media and the local community with huge crowds coming out to support the only game of football played on Good Friday in the Western Suburbs.  Channel Seven were also on hand for a live cross to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, which we were able to raise a significant amount of money for this great cause.

Comment: This is a particularly attractive marketing opportunity. The Juniors play  fifteen games and a possible four weeks of finals. Most junior games are attended by all of the parents of both sides together with parents of the preceding games. As such having your name on these jumpers gives your company very wide exposure.
